Detention Officer

This role involves performing protective service work within a detention facility, including receiving and processing inmates, maintaining facility security, and preparing inmates for transportation to court or medical facilities. The position requires enforcing institutional rules, supervising inmate activities, and maintaining accurate records while ensuring the safety and security of both staff and visitors. The incumbent works under the moderate supervision of a Detention Officer or Shift Leader to uphold order and compliance within the institution.
