The ALS Association (als.org) is a nonprofit organization focused on combatting amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) through research, patient services, advocacy, and public education. It funds and supports scientific research and clinical trials, provides care resources and local chapter services for people living with ALS and their families, and offers information and support programs. The association also leads advocacy efforts to secure better access to care, treatments, and government funding, and runs nationwide fundraising and awareness initiatives such as the Walk to End ALS. Patients, caregivers, researchers, and donors rely on the ALS Association for community-based support and investment in therapies aimed at slowing, stopping, or curing ALS.
