About this role

The Allen Institute is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain the infrastructure supporting a high‑throughput data pipeline and multi‑petabyte data sets. The role involves defining Linux configurations with Ansible, managing AWS cloud resources via Terraform, and ensuring stability and performance of on‑premises and cloud systems while supporting CI/CD, databases, logging, and metrics.

Responsibilities

Define Linux system configuration in code using Ansible
Create, deploy and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform
Review systems and infrastructure pull requests
Manage and integrate on‑premises and cloud storage systems
Support and maintain CI/CD, database, logging, and metrics infrastructure
