ITHAKA is a mission-based nonprofit learning organization that works to eliminate barriers to learning by making higher education and access to knowledge more affordable. It advances this mission through digital platforms and preservation services (including JSTOR and Portico), which preserve scholarly content and expand access to research and teaching resources. Through its research and advisory arm, Ithaka S+R, the organization provides evidence-based research, strategy, and consulting to colleges, universities, and cultural institutions. Institutions and scholars rely on ITHAKA for trusted stewardship of scholarly materials and tools that promote more equitable access to knowledge.
