About this role

Direct Care Professionals (DCP) provide direct supervision and assist with the day-to-day activity schedule setup for the individuals in the program. Direct support duties include: helping individuals with their mental health, managing behaviors and emotional needs, de-escalating crisis situations, treatment plan implementation, personal care (bathing, dressing), medication management, transport, and fostering social skills.

Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision and assist with the day-to-day activity schedule setup for individuals in the program
Help individuals with their mental health, manage behaviors and emotional needs, de-escalate crisis situations, implement treatment plans, manage personal care, and administer medication
Foster social skills and assist with enrichment activities such as art projects, music groups, culinary arts, athletics, and community outings
Document progress for daily, weekly, and monthly logs and adhere to the activity schedule
Attend clinical supervision meetings and participate in new hire orientation

21 years of age or olderHigh School diploma or GEDBachelor's degree in related field preferred6 weeks of behavioral health work experienceBachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, education or other related field OR 12 years of related experience
