YAI is hiring a Part-Time Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving independence and living fulfilling lives. The role involves providing daily support for activities of daily living, teaching life skills, ensuring safety, and facilitating community integration at the Sheepshead Bay location. Candidates will work flexible shifts, including Friday and Saturday evenings, while maintaining a therapeutic environment and completing necessary documentation.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with activities of daily living such as showering and grooming
Teach daily and independent living skills to promote autonomy
Ensure health, wellness, and safety of supported individuals
Transport individuals to medical appointments and recreational activities
Complete mandatory trainings and maintain accurate documentation
