About this role

The Director, Capital Planning and Development leads the campus function for long-term capital planning, project development, design, construction, and renewal of facilities at UBC Okanagan. This senior role oversees large-scale infrastructure projects up to $150 million, manages facilities planning, and coordinates with university leadership, external stakeholders, and system-wide teams to deliver functional, sustainable spaces. The director also provides strategic leadership to direct reports while operating jointly with the Associate Vice-Presidents of Finance and Operations and Facilities.

Responsibilities

Lead long-term capital planning and strategic project development for campus facilities
Oversee design, construction, renovation, and renewal projects up to $150 million
Manage facilities planning, space inventory, and compliance with university standards
Direct project services team ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget
Present project proposals and reports to university executive leadership and board
