The Director, Data Scientist leads the AI methodology agenda for clinical development programmes within AstraZeneca's AI Science & Innovation team, driving complex AI projects from problem definition through regulatory alignment and enterprise-scale adoption. This high-visibility role involves defining reusable AI methods, governing data-centric practices, and serving as the scientific authority for study teams, biometrics, and regulatory colleagues. The position requires shaping AI evidence for regulatory submissions and representing the company at external scientific venues while mentoring senior data scientists.
