About this role

This role leads the owner's-side technical capability for Talen Energy's power generation, battery storage, and digital infrastructure development portfolio. The Director oversees development-stage project engineering, technology decisions, technical diligence, and grid interconnection strategy to improve safety, reliability, and project economics. The position supports opportunities from early site screening through Final Investment Decision and transition to execution.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering and interconnection strategy for power generation and storage projects
Evaluate technology tradeoffs and direct preparation of design bases and specifications
Manage owner's engineers and consultants to ensure technical quality and project delivery

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or another engineering discipline relevant to utility-scale power generation and electric power systemsProfessional Engineer licenseadvanced degree in engineering, engineering management, or business
