The Director of Advising and Orientation at Southern Oregon University provides strategic leadership for programs that support the transition, retention, and academic success of new, transfer, and first-year students. The role reports to the Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students and works across campus to align orientation and advising with institutional priorities and student success goals. The director oversees development, implementation, and assessment of orientation and first-year advising initiatives to foster belonging and academic preparedness.
