Director of Database Reliability Engineering

The Director of Database Reliability Engineering leads a team of approximately 30 engineers to own the reliability, strategy, and modernization of Qualys's massive data platform, which includes Oracle, Exadata, and a self-managed open-source big data fabric. This role combines deep technical expertise in database systems with leadership to drive AI-powered automation, eliminate operational toil, and ensure platform availability and cost efficiency. The position serves as the final technical escalation point for data platform incidents and shapes the multi-year roadmap for the organization's data infrastructure.
