About Earth Species Project
earthspecies.orgEarth Species Project is a nonprofit research organization that develops machine learning models and tools to decode animal communication and reveal insights about non‑human cognition, behavior, and conservation. They collect and curate large bioacoustic datasets and build models and demos—such as NatureLM‑Audio (live on Hugging Face)—to analyze vocalizations across species. An interdisciplinary team of computational scientists, biologists, and conservationists drives open‑science releases of models, code, and data. Researchers and partners work with ESP for its domain‑specific ML expertise, datasets, and mission‑driven focus on accelerating discovery and conservation.
