Redwood Materials
The Director, Powered Land Development is responsible for building Redwood Materials' powered land development function from the ground up, focusing on sourcing, evaluating, and advancing sites for solar and storage deployments. This role involves leading site selection, permitting, and local stakeholder engagement while negotiating site control agreements and developing financial models to convert land opportunities into executable projects. Success requires sound judgment, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to lead the function while partnering with Engineering, Finance, and Legal teams.
Redwood Materials is building a domestic stockpile of critical battery materials and deploying large-scale energy storage systems to power data centers and the nation’s grid. The company recovers and refines end-of-life batteries and manufacturing scrap into battery‑grade materials, helping close the loop on the battery supply chain. By scaling recycling, materials production, and grid-scale storage, Redwood aims to secure resilient U.S. supply chains for electrification while reducing the environmental impact of battery production.
