About this role

The Director of Product Engineering will lead and steward the technology and teams behind ProPublica’s core digital products, including publishing systems, the main website, and data pipelines. This mission-driven leadership role reports to the senior director of technology and partners with product, design, data, and external agencies to ensure platforms are scalable, secure, performant and user-focused. The position balances strategic planning with hands-on engineering and team development in a nonprofit newsroom environment.
