Director, Special Education

The Director, Special Education provides leadership and oversight for the Special Education Department's efforts to fulfill child-find obligations for parentally placed private school students within the San Diego Unified School District. This role involves developing, implementing, and continuously improving integrated systems, programs, and services to support students with disabilities enrolled in non-public schools. The position ensures compliance with federal and state special education laws while facilitating collaboration with schools, district departments, and external partners to support timely service delivery for students and families.
