About this role

As a Shared Service Team Leader for Disability Payments at Sun Life, you will lead a team focused on operational excellence within a fast-paced environment to support the health benefits of Canadians. This role involves ensuring KPIs are met regarding CPP/QPP targets, providing technical support on payment applications, and driving continuous process improvement while managing daily workflows and compliance. You will also handle internal and external inquiries, coach team members, and engage in recruiting and talent development to align with Group Disability objectives.

Responsibilities

Lead a team within the Disability Payment organization focused on operational excellence.
Ensure team KPIs are met daily with a strong focus on CPP/QPP targets.
Provide technical support to staff regarding payment applications, decisions, and appeals.
Monitor daily workflow, strategy, and resource allocation to achieve service standards.
Drive process improvement activities using process excellence methodology to enhance performance.
