Doctoral Researcher

Aalto University is seeking two highly motivated doctoral researchers to join the Cyber-physical Systems Group for an ERC Starting Grant-funded project focused on continual reinforcement learning for real-world systems. The role involves developing fundamental theory and practical algorithms to address challenges in non-ergodic dynamics and adaptive policies, with opportunities for practical experiments in the Aalto robot lab. Candidates will work on trajectory-centric optimization and adaptive policies to integrate them into a single reinforcement learning algorithm.
