About this role

The Driller is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a drill rig in an open-pit mining environment, primarily tasked with drilling blast holes for mining operations. This role requires strict adherence to safety standards, operational guidelines, and drilling plans to ensure accurate hole placement and depth. The position demands technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of drilling processes and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

Operate Sandvik D25K drill rig to drill blast holes according to specified patterns and depths
Conduct pre-start inspections and routine maintenance of the drill rig to ensure optimal working condition
Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, hole depth, equipment performance, and any incidents or downtime
