About this role

The ED Technician supports patient care and the patient experience within the Emergency Department by performing clinical tasks, equipment maintenance, and supply management. Responsibilities include assisting patients, conducting EKGs, obtaining blood specimens, and ensuring room readiness and infection control protocols are followed. The role requires strong knowledge of clinical terminology and the ability to coordinate effectively with nursing staff to meet departmental needs.

Responsibilities

Perform patient care services including bathroom assists and dressing support
Conduct EKGs and transmit documentation to ensure patient safety
Obtain quality blood specimens using proper phlebotomy techniques
Clean equipment and maintain supply storage units per infection control procedures
Transport and transfer patients within the department or hospital
