The EDI Specialist is responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining Standard HIPAA 834 eligibility formats for inbound and outbound transactions. This role involves planning and coordinating EDI projects, acting as a subject matter expert for 834 HIPAA transactions, and ensuring quality processing of enrollment data. The specialist collaborates with business office staff, third-party vendors, and internal IT groups to implement efficient and cost-effective solutions while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain Standard HIPAA 834 eligibility formats
Implement and develop third-party EDI solutions
Document and analyze current business processes for improvements
Conduct quality assurance and user acceptance testing
Troubleshoot failed transmissions and communicate results

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology5 years of EDI experience3 years of ANSI X12 and HIPAA experience
