The Education and Workforce Development (EWD) Program Lead will oversee the full spectrum of activities for the BioMADE EWD portfolio, including creating a Center of Excellence, managing project calls, and reporting to stakeholders. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, government partners, and academic and non‑profit members to advance bioindustrial manufacturing education and training initiatives.
BioMADE (Bioindustrial Manufacturing and Design Ecosystem) is a national initiative to accelerate the development and adoption of biotechnology-enabled, bio-based manufacturing in the United States. By convening industry, academic, and government partners, BioMADE funds and coordinates R&D, scale-up demonstrations, and workforce development to bring sustainable bioproducts from concept to commercialization. It focuses on creating a robust domestic bio-manufacturing ecosystem, improving supply chain resilience, and translating bioscience into real-world products. Through open collaboration, shared infrastructure, and clear pathways to scale, BioMADE aims to reduce reliance on fossil-based materials and advance U.S. leadership in advanced manufacturing.
