About this role

The EMIS Technical Lead provides overall technical direction and education data systems support for a Millennium Challenge Corporation-funded education quality assurance activity in Belize. This role involves strengthening the Belize Education Management Information System (BEMIS), developing quality assurance frameworks, and ensuring interoperability across education data systems. The position requires at least half-time presence in Belize alongside remote work.

Responsibilities

Lead technical implementation of BEMIS strengthening and education management information systems
Develop and implement quality assurance frameworks linked to the Belize Education Management Information System
Support data governance, quality, and school performance monitoring
Coordinate with ministry departments and technical partners on data system reforms
Review technical deliverables and ensure feasibility of EMIS interventions

Skills

Qualifications

Master's degree in information systems, education planning, data science, public administration, or related field12 years of experience in EMIS strengthening, education data systems, or digital governance reforms
