About this role

The role is responsible for safely operating, monitoring, and maintaining the Effluent Treatment Plant at Unilever's Tema site to ensure industrial wastewater meets Ghana EPA discharge standards and the company's sustainability goals. The operator will handle process control, chemical dosing, sludge management, and basic lab support while adhering to health, safety, and environmental protocols.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor ETP machinery and chemical dosing systems
Maintain optimal pH, DO, COD/BOD levels through testing and adjustments
Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on pumps and blowers
Collect wastewater samples and support lab analysis
Document daily logs and ensure safety and environmental compliance

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering or BiochemistryHigher National Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering or Biochemistry
