About this role

Plains is seeking a self-motivated Electrical/Instrumentation Technician to support their Rainbow Lake and area facilities by maintaining electrical and instrumentation equipment. As a member of the Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls department, the role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and installing critical systems like PLCs and motor control centers to ensure maximum operational efficiency. The successful candidate will perform scheduled preventive maintenance and provide on-call support for emergency response in a fast-paced oil and gas environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair electrical equipment including PLCs and motor control centers
Inspect and test instruments to diagnose faults using electrical devices
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance for all electrical and instrumentation equipment
Provide on-call support during non-business hours for emergency responses
Complete written and electronic records including work orders and maintenance reports
