The Emergency Department Technician assists in providing patient care and maintaining the patient care environment in the Emergency Department under the direction of Registered Nurses and physicians. This role does not function as a regulated or licensed professional. The position requires a high school education or equivalent, with preferred experience as a certified EMT, nursing assistant, paramedic, or RN student. Certification in American Heart Association BLS is required, along with CPI training for new hires.
