Emergency Management Coordinator

Under the direction of the Abilene Fire Chief, this role leads and administers the City of Abilene’s emergency management program, directing the development and implementation of citywide disaster preparedness and response plans. The position ensures emergency operations plans remain current and compliant with local, state, and federal requirements while coordinating activities with various departments and partners. The role involves maintaining operational readiness of emergency systems, managing staff and volunteers, and serving as the primary liaison during emergencies and disasters.
