Emergency Response Technician (ERT)

The Colorado Springs Police Department is seeking an Emergency Response Technician to process incoming 911 and non-emergency calls for service, determine the nature of calls, and dispatch appropriate Police, Fire, and medical resources using computer-aided dispatch systems. This role requires maintaining high emotional control, making quick decisions, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced, secure communications center environment. The position involves varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and requires successful completion of an extensive background investigation.
