About this role

The SEI's Enabling Edge Intelligence (E2I) team is seeking a full-time intern to contribute to developing tools and practices for integrating AI capabilities into edge environments. The role focuses on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of testing key qualities of edge AI systems, such as security, safety, and resource optimization. The intern will work onsite at the SEI Pittsburgh office during the summer of 2027.

Responsibilities

Investigate new approaches for testing AI capabilities
Leverage generative AI and agentic tools for testing
Integrate testing approaches into ML Test and Evaluation process
