About this role

The Engineer - Automation Engineering (AGV/AMR) will provide automation support for autonomous guided vehicle and autonomous mobile robot fleets at Eli Lilly's new Medicine Foundry, ensuring reliable and compliant material handling across manufacturing, warehouse, and utility areas. The role includes technical leadership, mentorship, fleet management software implementation, and collaboration with vendors and internal teams to deliver a right‑first‑time facility start‑up and ongoing operations.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for AGV/AMR fleet management
Lead design reviews, FATs/SATs, and commissioning of automation systems
Develop and implement the automation engineering project plan for AGV/AMR deployment
