The Engineer Development Program (EDP) at ERCOT is a 12-16 month entry-level program designed to develop early-career power engineers through on-the-job experience in ERCOT’s modeling groups. Participants receive mentoring, training, field visits, and rotations across multiple engineering areas to build foundational knowledge of the Texas transmission grid and wholesale market. The program prepares engineers for progression into power engineering roles within ERCOT.
