About this role

The Engineer III Software Development at NETGEAR is responsible for the end-to-end ownership of medium-complexity embedded software features for Broadcom-based managed switches. This role involves developing and optimizing software components using the Broadcom switching SDK, implementing various network protocols, and ensuring compatibility across multiple switching platforms ranging from 10GB to 400GB. Additionally, the engineer will engage in system integration, hardware abstraction development, and troubleshooting complex software issues while conducting code reviews and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates should have a strong background in C programming, embedded Linux development, and experience with network switching software and ASIC programming.
