The Engineer-in-Training works under the guidance of Project Managers and Professional Engineers to review, plan, and coordinate technical engineering applications and designs submitted by consulting engineers. The role involves assisting with the design and permitting of new plans, performing specialized engineering analysis, and coordinating with consultants and the public. Candidates will be employed in a trainee program for approximately 3-5 years before promotion to Engineer I upon passing the Professional Engineer Examination.
