About this role

The Engineer role supports the Advanced Modeling and Forecasting Team within System Planning, focusing on advanced Synergi Electric modeling, special studies, and MATLAB-based automation. This position delivers technically rigorous planning studies to support distribution investment decisions, regulatory analysis, and long-range system planning. The role involves collaboration across System Planning, Distribution Engineering, DER Planning, Reliability and Resiliency, and IT to ensure defensible and repeatable outcomes.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced Synergi Electric special studies including thermal and contingency analyses
Develop and execute MATLAB-based automation for large-scale power system modeling and batch studies
Support distribution investment decisions and regulatory analysis through technical planning studies
