About this role

The Engineering Technician supports prototype systems, test equipment, and laboratory operations within Molecular Imaging Research & Development to enable the verification and validation of next-generation PET/CT imaging technologies. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining complex medical imaging equipment while troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues to ensure R&D activities run smoothly across the Knoxville, Tennessee team.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and reconfigure complex medical imaging prototype systems
Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure operational readiness and compliance
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system integration issues
Maintain test cell readiness and manage inventory and configurations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety and regulatory standards
