Regional District Central Okanagan
The Engineering Technologist II provides technical support for engineering capital projects, utility services, subdivision and development review, and related records, reports, and bylaws. This position supports engineering capital projects through planning, design review, construction support, and close-out in accordance with approved standards, budgets, and asset management objectives. The role also reviews subdivision applications for compliance with RDCO bylaws, servicing requirements, and provincial legislation, while drafting referral responses and communicating requirements.
The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) is one of 27 regional districts in British Columbia, representing two unincorporated electoral areas and four member municipalities including Kelowna, West Kelowna, Peachland, and Lake Country. The RDCO provides a wide range of regional government services to residents, including parks and trails, waste and recycling, water and environmental services, building permits, emergency management, and planning and land use. It also partners with Westbank First Nation and Okanagan Indian Band in serving the Central Okanagan region.
