About this role

ERM is seeking an Environmental Compliance Manager to support clients' environmental programs across design and construction projects in the Albany, Syracuse, or Buffalo, NY region. This 12-month limited-term role involves regulatory liaison, incident response, site inspections, and waste management while ensuring strict adherence to environmental laws and client procedures. The successful candidate will manage environmental due diligence, coordinate remediation plans, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and legal teams to mitigate environmental risks.

Responsibilities

Review and manage environmental aspects during project planning and construction
Manage environmental due diligence for property transactions and access requests
Serve as regulatory liaison during agency inspections and incident responses
Conduct periodic inspections of operating yards and company properties for compliance
Coordinate waste characterization sampling, analysis, and transportation disposal
