Amnesty Kenya
The Equality & Anti-Discrimination Intern will support Amnesty Kenya’s Equality & Anti-Discrimination program by assisting with impact reporting, advocacy messaging, knowledge product generation, and logistical support for program activities. The role involves collaborating with the communications team, representing the organization in partner meetings, and acting as a liaison between community members and Amnesty International Kenya.
Amnesty Kenya is the Kenyan section of Amnesty International and part of a global movement of over 7 million people campaigning to end human rights abuses. It investigates and documents violations, mobilizes supporters, and runs public campaigns and advocacy to promote policy and legal reforms that protect civil, political, economic and social rights. The organisation organises grassroots actions and public events (for example marches against femicide), engages with government and international bodies, and works to defend victims and hold perpetrators accountable. Through research, media work and strategic advocacy it seeks systemic change to ensure human rights are respected across Kenya.
