Equipment Operator

The Equipment Operator performs semi-skilled work to operate motorized light to medium weight equipment for maintaining and repairing city grounds, sewers, stormwater systems, streets, and providing solid waste collection services. The role involves adhering to safety procedures, conducting vehicle inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting with various landscaping and infrastructure duties. Equipment operators may be assigned to specific divisions such as Parks, Special Events, Solid Waste, Stormwater, Streets, or Water/Sewer, each with additional specialized responsibilities.
