It administers advertising self-regulation (e.g., National Advertising Division, National Advertising Review Board, Children’s Advertising Review Unit, Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council), privacy and data accountability programs (Data Privacy Framework, Cross-Border Privacy Rules, CPRA verification, Digital Advertising Accountability Program), and children’s initiatives and safe-harbor services. The organization provides dispute resolution, compliance verification, guidance, and resources to brands, agencies, technology vendors, and regulators to promote responsible marketing, data practices, and consumer protection.
