ERT Humanitarian Access, Safety and Security Coordinator

The Emergency Humanitarian Access, Safety & Security Coordinator (ERT HASSC) at the International Rescue Committee deploys to crisis zones for up to 65% of the year to design, develop, and manage on-site safety and security responses. This role involves adapting organizational policies, conducting risk analysis, negotiating with local authorities, and training staff to ensure safe programming in volatile environments. When not deployed, the coordinator provides strategic support to global security teams and develops capacity-strengthening plans for emergency responses.
