About this role

The Estimator III develops comprehensive cost estimates from conceptual design through construction for engineering and construction projects, focusing on gas pipelines and infrastructure. The role involves reconciling estimates with third parties, negotiating change orders, and managing the full lifecycle of project cost data. Estimated employees must be based in the office two days a week.

Responsibilities

Develop conceptual and detailed cost estimates from planning documents and engineering drawings.
Reconcile internal estimates with third-party valuations and communicate results to stakeholders.
Review and negotiate change order proposals with contractors to determine fair compensation.
Prepare material takeoffs and validate labor, material, and equipment pricing references.
Accumulate historical cost data and apply overhead rates and fees to ensure accurate projections.
