The Executive Assistant serves as a strategic partner to the Vice President & Chief Communications Officer at Howard University, managing complex calendars, executive communications, and administrative operations. This role supports high-level decision-making through research, analysis, and the preparation of briefing materials while maintaining strict confidentiality in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate the VP&CCO's complex calendar, meetings, and special events
Draft executive communications including reports, briefing materials, and presentations
Support financial administration activities including expense reconciliation and procurement
Coordinate logistics for leadership briefings, retreats, and external media engagements
Maintain confidential files and sensitive information in accordance with university policies

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Higher Education Administration, or JournalismFive years of progressively responsible executive administrative support experience
