About this role

The Executive Director leads Blue Star Families' flagship National Capital Region Chapter, overseeing strategy, revenue growth, community impact, and operations for a large volunteer base. Reporting to the Vice President of Chapter Impact & Outposts, the role manages staff, fundraising, partnerships, and serves as the primary liaison to national headquarters and government stakeholders in the DC area.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute Chapter sustainability plan to achieve $1M+ annual revenue
Cultivate relationships with Congress and government officials to advance policy priorities
Lead chapter operations including staff, volunteers, programs, budget, and partnerships
