About this role

As the Head of the RDT Pharma R&D AI Center of Excellence, you will lead the establishment and operation of a global hub for Agentic AI within Roche's pharmaceutical research and development. This executive role involves setting strategic direction for AI and data analytics, ensuring compliance with GxP and EU AI Act standards, and driving the industrialization of AI capabilities across the organization. You will act as a strategic partner to leadership teams, managing a cross-functional organization of experts to accelerate drug development timelines and foster an AI-first culture.

Responsibilities

Lead the establishment and operation of the Pharma R&D AI Center of Excellence
Define and shape flexible operating models for centralized and embedded AI services
Ensure compliance with GxP standards and EU AI Act traceability requirements
Drive the industrialization of Agentic AI capabilities across pharmaceutical domains
Recruit and mentor a top-tier team of AI experts and leaders

Skills

Qualifications

Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fieldExperience with GxP standards and regulatory complianceKnowledge of EU AI Act requirementsCertification in Cloud Architecture (AWS/Azure)Leadership certification or equivalent experience
