The Expert Volunteer role supports the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) by participating in meetings, reviewing standards, and contributing expertise in botanical dietary ingredients and supplements. Volunteers commit an average of 3.5 hours per week, attend occasional in‑person meetings, and help develop quality standards, address adulteration and contamination issues, and advance regulatory risk assessments for botanical products.
USP is dedicated to helping improve global health through standards setting in compounding, biologics, pharmaceutical manufacturing and other fields.
