Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is a non-profit marine conservation organization dedicated to protecting and conserving the world’s oceans and marine wildlife. Founded by Paul Watson in 1977, Sea Shepherd conducts direct-action campaigns using a global fleet of ships, on-the-ground teams, and investigations to confront illegal fishing, whaling, poaching, and ocean pollution. The group combines grassroots mobilization, legal work, public advocacy, and research to defend marine ecosystems, push for stronger protections, and raise public awareness. Support comes from volunteers, donors, and partners who fund campaigns, vessel operations, and community programs worldwide.
