Aalo Atomics
A 12- to 16‑week on‑site internship in Austin where a mechanical engineering student will design and update 3‑D CAD models, create work instructions, collect production data, and present findings to engineering leadership. The role provides hands‑on shop‑floor experience and mentorship while contributing to the manufacturing of advanced microreactors.
Aalo Atomics is a clean-energy company building mass-manufactured nuclear power plants to deliver abundant, dependable, low-carbon electricity — what they call the 'Second Atomic Age.' Their core product, the Aalo-1 Reactor, is a 10 MWe sodium-cooled reactor transportable by truck, with five reactors combined into a 50 MWe Aalo Pod purpose-built for AI data centers and scalable to power cities. With $300M+ raised and an operational pilot factory in Austin, TX, the company targets a long-term cost of 3¢/kWh electricity.
