Family Advocate

The Family Advocate role involves teaching, modeling, and coaching basic living and parenting skills to parents at risk of or currently in foster care, utilizing the Incredible Years Home Visiting curriculum. The position focuses on home safety, nurturance, appropriate discipline, child development, and building supportive social networks. The advocate provides limited transportation, maintains client confidentiality, and offers linkages to community resources. The role requires weekly face-to-face contact with clients and supervisors, along with participation in trainings and team meetings.
