About this role

William & Mary’s Advising Center supports students’ academic accomplishments across the undergraduate experience from matriculation to postgraduate fellowships. The Fellowship Advisor will support undergraduates and recent alums through the application and selection process for nationally competitive fellowships in collaboration with the Associate Director of Fellowships. This role combines advising, recruitment, communications, and partnership-building across academic departments, student organizations, and alumni networks.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one and group advising for students exploring national fellowship opportunities
Guide students through the process of identifying, preparing, and submitting national fellowship applications
Collaborate with the Associate Director of Fellowships in creating programming that strengthens campus-wide fellowship awareness
Plan, advertise, and conduct fellowship-related events such as informational sessions, writing intensives, student panels, and recognition events
Maintain and update the awards database, web links, and resource library
