National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) is a grassroots advocacy organization founded in 1893 that works to improve the quality of life for women, children, and families. Through a national office in Washington, D.C. and local councils across the United States, NCJW advances public policy on issues such as reproductive rights, voting access, racial and economic justice, and protections against gender‑based violence and human trafficking. The organization also operates community programs and direct services—ranging from legal and educational support to family assistance—while mobilizing volunteers and engaging in civic education. NCJW blends Jewish values with civic action to promote equity, inclusion, and social change.
